Amine Filtration Package
This system is used in gas sweetening units for the treatment and filtration of amine solution. After regeneration of the spent amine and before returning to the acid gas absorption cycle, a portion of the amine solution is directed to the filtration package. In this stage, solid particles down to 10 microns, hydrocarbons, and amine degradation products are removed from the solution. The treated amine is then returned to the gas sweetening cycle.
In the improved amine filtration system, the use of Pre-Coat, which is commonly applied in conventional filters, has been eliminated. This eliminates issues such as environmental contamination, difficult operation, generation of large quantities of solid waste, high procurement costs, and dependence on overseas resources. In addition, the filters can be easily backwashed without being opened and can be returned to service within a short period of time. The system also provides a long operating life.
